Roymans & Roymans Herritage
Niltsan and Josha Roymans started their own clothing line. Our first product is a Hibiscus denim jean.
We want to create garments with a story, or in other words, every detail of the garment has a thought behind it.
Our first project is The Masochist. A hibiscus denim that stands out by its choice of materials.
It includes:
A 14.7oz hibiscus bleu listed selvedge denim (rope dyed) from the mountains of Osaka, Japan. 55% cotton and 45% kenaf (family of the hemp).
The leather patch comes from the oldest leather tanner in Europe where it is naturally tanned with an extract of chestnut bark, mimosa and quebracho. Every label is hand dyed by us with indigo dye, every patch is unique.
The pocketing and waistband lining is a 100 year old loom/canvas of cotton and hemp made by hand by two old women in the valley of Valsesia in north Italy
The stitching of the triple chainstitch seat is a hybrid indigo thread which will fade with the denim.
The jeans is made by a geometric design so all the seems and stitching align with one and the other, even the belt loops are aligned, also in the color of the stitching. Stress points are reinforced with hybrid indigo bartacks.
The metal trims (buttons and rivets) are hand finished in the european part of Turkey.
Concept and design from Amsterdam, hand made in a small family atelier in Venice Italy. Which makes this jean made in Europe.
